You play a bionic soldier with a mechanic arm that extends and contracts to let you interact with objects normally out of reach.
The game is based on the Bionic Commando arcade game and is a typical platform game with the emphasis on the capabilities your bionic arms gives you.
You can use it to swing from platform to platform, pull yourself up onto higher platforms, and attack enemies with it.
A few other weapons and a range of pickups is also available.
At the start of the game you also get to choose to play a male or female commando.
About Game Boy Color
The Game Boy Color (1998) added a color screen to the original Game Boy formula while remaining backwards compatible with the entire existing cartridge library. Its colorful, semi-transparent cartridge shells make it a visually distinct platform for shelf collectors, and several late-cycle exclusives — released just before the Game Boy Advance took over — are notably harder to find complete today.
Gamevaro tracks Bionic Commando: Elite Forces for Game Boy Color with separate market values for loose, complete-in-box (CIB) and factory-sealed copies, sourced from real eBay sales. Prices also vary by region — PAL, NTSC-U and NTSC-J releases of the same game often sell for different amounts due to print run sizes and regional collector demand.
Adding Bionic Commando: Elite Forces to a Gamevaro collection takes seconds — search by title or scan the box barcode, and the app fills in cover art, release details and current pricing automatically. This GBC release dates back to 1999.

Market insights
Rarity & condition
Bionic Commando: Elite Forces has a steady sales history on the tracked marketplaces, meaning enough copies circulate to establish a reliable market price.
Complete-in-box (CIB) copies typically command a premium over loose cartridges/discs because the original box and manual are more fragile and get discarded or damaged over time — fewer complete sets survive.
