A long time ago, the ki element kotodama wreaked havoc on the world.
Five other kotodama elements joined forces to seal it away.
They then spread throughout the world, and left protecting the land to the miko, who used the ten element kotodama.
The player is the younger brother of one of these miko, and aspires to become a moribito, who are a group of battlers who protect the miko.
You must travel throughout the land battling wild monsters and other battlers in kotodama card battles.
In battle, there are four options: "Use kotodamas," "Kotodama history," "Defend," and "Escape." Types of cards include monster cards, item cards, and magic cards.
About Game Boy Color
The Game Boy Color (1998) added a color screen to the original Game Boy formula while remaining backwards compatible with the entire existing cartridge library. Its colorful, semi-transparent cartridge shells make it a visually distinct platform for shelf collectors, and several late-cycle exclusives — released just before the Game Boy Advance took over — are notably harder to find complete today.
Gamevaro tracks Koto Battle: Tengai no Moribito for Game Boy Color with separate market values for loose, complete-in-box (CIB) and factory-sealed copies, sourced from real eBay sales. Prices also vary by region — PAL, NTSC-U and NTSC-J releases of the same game often sell for different amounts due to print run sizes and regional collector demand.
Adding Koto Battle: Tengai no Moribito to a Gamevaro collection takes seconds — search by title or scan the box barcode, and the app fills in cover art, release details and current pricing automatically. This GBC release dates back to 2001.
