About this game

Star Wars: The Force Unleashed follows the timeline between Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith and Star Wars: Episode IV: A New Hope that tells the story of a young apprentice of Darth Vader who is trained and sent out to eliminate the remaining Jedi in the galaxy.

While this version is similar to the 360 , PS3 , and PS2 versions, it features the same story line as the PlayStation 2 version and has a different control scheme that uses the Wii Remote for controlling the lightsaber and the Nunchuk to use force powers.

This version also contains a "duel mode" where players can go head-to-head with characters throughout the Star Wars universe.

The engine does not match the game engines from the PS3 and 360 or the Havok engine, but rather relies on the in-house engine of the developer, Krome , with some ragdoll effects mixed with preset animations.

About PlayStation 2

The PlayStation 2 (2000) is the best-selling game console in history, with a library exceeding 9,000 titles that spans everything from budget shovelware to genre-defining classics. That massive volume means PS2 collecting is accessible and affordable overall, but a handful of low-print-run RPGs and cult titles have become genuinely expensive — a common pattern once a console's original audience grows up with disposable income.

Gamevaro tracks Star Wars: The Force Unleashed [Greatest Hits] for PlayStation 2 with separate market values for loose, complete-in-box (CIB) and factory-sealed copies, sourced from real eBay sales. Prices also vary by region — PAL, NTSC-U and NTSC-J releases of the same game often sell for different amounts due to print run sizes and regional collector demand.

Adding Star Wars: The Force Unleashed [Greatest Hits] to a Gamevaro collection takes seconds — search by title or scan the box barcode, and the app fills in cover art, release details and current pricing automatically. This PS2 release dates back to 2008.

Rarity & condition

Star Wars: The Force Unleashed [Greatest Hits] has a steady sales history on the tracked marketplaces, meaning enough copies circulate to establish a reliable market price.

Complete-in-box (CIB) copies typically command a premium over loose cartridges/discs because the original box and manual are more fragile and get discarded or damaged over time — fewer complete sets survive.
