Robot Works

The WonderBorg is a programmable consumer robot kit that was bundled with specialized software known as "Robot Works", which is used to program the robot.

While mainly used to program the movement of the physical robot, it also comes with a game.

Bandai's WonderSwan (1999) was a Japan-only handheld designed with input from Nintendo Game Boy creator Gunpei Yokoi's team, and it built a respectable library before being succeeded by the color version. Since it never released outside Japan, WonderSwan collecting is entirely an import hobby internationally, with complete, boxed copies especially prized by handheld collectors.

Gamevaro tracks Robot Works for WonderSwan with separate market values for loose, complete-in-box (CIB) and factory-sealed copies, sourced from real eBay sales. Prices also vary by region — PAL, NTSC-U and NTSC-J releases of the same game often sell for different amounts due to print run sizes and regional collector demand.

Adding Robot Works to a Gamevaro collection takes seconds — search by title or scan the box barcode, and the app fills in cover art, release details and current pricing automatically. This WS release dates back to 2000.

Only a handful of market sales have been tracked for Robot Works, suggesting it doesn't trade hands very often — a sign of relative scarcity compared to more common WonderSwan titles.

Complete-in-box (CIB) copies typically command a premium over loose cartridges/discs because the original box and manual are more fragile and get discarded or damaged over time — fewer complete sets survive.
